Bike Week - Fingal 2025

1st May 2025

Bike Week takes place across Ireland from Saturday 10 May to Sunday 18 May and we have a number of events across Fingal that might interest your families from your school, I would be grateful if you would have a look at the below and please spread the word among your families. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with me.

The Fingal Superhero Cycle

On Friday 16 May, we are looking for as many schools to encourage students to bling their bike and dress up as their favourite superhero and most importantly, cycle to school! Schools who register and take part will go into the draw to win one of three €150 One 4 All Vouchers for your school. All you need to do is register HERE and send us a picture of your school taking part on Friday 16 May

Childline Breakfast

Fingal are teaming up with The ISPCC this Bike Week to help promote Childline Breakfast. We’re inviting community groups, clubs, creches and schools to host their own Childline Breakfast—a simple, joyful moment of connection over breakfast, all in aid of Childline’s 24/7 listening service for children. More information on this vital fundraiser is available at www.childlinebreakfast.com

Balheary Park – Pop Up Cycling Skills Course

We're delighted to partner up Fireride Local, a mobile pop-up cycling activation that inspires and gets people of all ages and abilities moving. – an entirely free-to-participate, pop-up event taking place in Balheary Park, beside the Skate Park in Swords on Friday 16 May from 9:30am - 3pm.

The event will bring BMX fun to the public with pro rider stunt demos and children's skills course.  We are offering schools the opportunity to avail of 45min slots throughout the day. All Helmets and bikes are provided for participants and each slot can accommodate up to 30 students.
Fireride Local is all about breaking down barriers and getting the whole community moving—together.
