Sat 17 May: Mayor’s Cycle Sign up at Eventbrite Join us for a cycle from Portmarnock to Swords Castle, where we will be showing a family-friendly movie!
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Brian McDonagh will be holding the first Mayors Cycle from Portmarnock Train Station to Swords Castle, followed by a family film and picnic on the castle grounds. Join us for a fun-filled cycle with your family and friends from Portmarnock to Swords Castle, where we'll be enjoying an outdoor movie in the Castle Grounds. This 10km on road cycle is brought to you by Mayor of Fingal, Brian McDonagh, The Fingal Active Travel Team and Syls Cycling Club. The Cycle will take in Portmarnock Village, Malahide Village, Malahide Estuary and Swords Castle.
- Meeting Point 1: Portmarnock Train Station Car Park - Departing 4:30pm
- Meeting Point 2: New Street Malahide - Departing 5pm
The Cycle is open to all types of bikes, and each bike will need a ticket, so if you have a cargo bike with little ones, you'll just need one ticket.

We’ll be celebrating the end of Dublin Climate Action & Bike Week with our Family Fun Day in Malahide Castle on the Main Lawn.
Activities include free bike repair, street games, cycling without age trishaw trips, the turning tides pop up aquarium, movies on the lawn from 2pm and much more!
