Specsavers Swords wish to let you know about a special initiative they are offering
to support local students and families during the upcoming easter period.
They are delighted to offer free eye tests to all students for two
weeks of the easter midterm from Monday 30th March to Sunday 12th of April.
With end of the school year approaching, Specsavers Swords understands how
busy and demanding this time can be. We want to support students and
parents by highlighting the importance of eye health.
As children progress through school, their eyesight plays a vital role in learning
and development. In fact, up to 80% of classroom learning is visual, making
clear vision essential for reading, writing, and participation.

- 1 in 5 children may have an undetected vision problem.
- Conditions such as short-sightedness (myopia) are becoming more
common in children.
- Issues like squint and lazy eye can often be treated more effectively if
detected early.
- Children may not realise they have a vision problem, as they often
assume their sight is normal.
We are also offering Parents and Teachers the chance to avail of a fill eye test
including an advanced OCT scan for €25, normally €55
Regular eye tests can help identify problems early, improving confidence,
learning and overall wellbeing.
